Manchester United could be without five more players for their Champions League clash against Como on Wednesday after several key players missed the final training session before the team travelled to Italy.
Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Ayden Heaven and Marcus Rashford were absent from training, adding to manager Michael Carrick’s injury concerns.
Manchester United are already without Patrick Dorgu, Benjamin Sesko and Manuel Ugarte due to long-term injuries, while defender Leny Yoro is suspended after receiving a straight red card against Atletico Madrid last week.
Speaking ahead of the match, Carrick described the injury situation as a “mixed bag” and suggested Martinez was more likely to return for Sunday’s Premier League game against Bournemouth.
