Kun Khalifat FC have urged the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to improve security for players and officials following the alleged attack on their technical adviser, Obinna Uzoho, at Pantami Stadium in Gombe State.

The Owerri-based club played out a 1-1 draw against Doma United on Saturday before Uzoho was reportedly attacked after the match.
Reacting to graphic footage of Uzoho’s injuries circulating on social media, Kun Khalifat expressed concern over what it described as recurring safety threats during away matches.
“When we lose at home, we lose in peace. But whenever we win away or pick a point against the home team, our lives will be in the hands of God,” the club said.
“This is so, so unacceptable. NPFL, please protect our lives,” it added.
The club called on the league organisers to address the security concerns and ensure the safety of teams during away fixtures.
