Kebbi Awards Contract for 13-Community Road Projects

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved the construction of roads linking 13 communities across Kalgo and Bunza Local Government Areas of the state.

Idris announced the approval on Friday during a condolence visit to Diggi following the death of the District Head of Diggi, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, popularly known as Dan Galadima Diggi.

The governor said the projects would improve transportation, strengthen connectivity, and support the movement of people and goods across the benefiting communities.

The communities are Maidahini, Yarawel, Gerere, Etene, Ketar Fulani, Ketar Hausawa, Gangare, Banganna, Mutubari, Wurogauri, Diggi, Gayi, and Unguwar Jeji.

According to Idris, the contract has been awarded to Habib Engineering Construction Company, with the official flag-off ceremony expected to take place soon.

The governor said his administration would continue to prioritize projects that directly address infrastructure needs and improve the lives of residents.

Kebbi has previously undertaken road projects in Kalgo and Bunza, including the Kalgo township road and Bunza-Gwade road, highlighting the two LGAs as areas that have received road infrastructure investment in previous administrations.

He also prayed for the repose of the late district head’s soul and asked Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
