Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has received a delegation from the Kano State Government on a condolence visit following the death of renowned Katsina-born musician, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, popularly known as Kosan Waka.
The delegation, led by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Umar Haruna Doguwa, visited the Government House in Katsina on the directive of Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Governor Yusuf had earlier directed that the late musician’s remains be transported from the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Kano to his hometown in Tsanni, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, for burial.
Receiving the delegation, Governor Radda expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a reflection of the longstanding relationship between Katsina and Kano states.
He prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and asked God to grant him eternal rest, while also urging strength for his family and admirers to bear the loss.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Doguwa said they were in Katsina to formally convey Governor Yusuf’s condolences and solidarity with the government and people of the state.
Members of the delegation included Sheikh Usman Salga, Special Adviser on Religious Affairs; Gwani Musa Falaki, Special Adviser on Tsangaya Education; Bashir Danfullo; Tijjani Faraga; Abubakar Sani; and Tima Cool.
