Nigerian comedian and content creator Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi, popularly known as Bae U Barbie, has explained why he left skit-making.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Morayo Show, Bae U said he quit skit-making because he was “tired of being average” and wanted to pursue a different creative path.
He said the idea for his comedy talk show, Curiosity Made Me Ask, emerged while he was trying to rediscover himself and find a new direction.
“I was tired of being average and wanted to do something different. I didn’t want to be like the skit makers,” he said.
Bae U added that Zack Galifianakis’ comedy interview show, Between Two Ferns, inspired Curiosity Made Me Ask.
Since launching the show, he has interviewed notable Nigerians, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, actor Pete Edochie, and television host Frank Edoho.
The comedian also revealed that one of his biggest ambitions is to interview United States President Donald Trump.
