Governor Radda Visits Faskari for Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has taken his grassroots mobilization drive for the 2027 Tinubu/Dikko re-election campaign to Faskari Local Government Area, where he is engaging traditional rulers, community leaders, and All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders.

Governor Radda arrived in Faskari as part of his ongoing consultations and mobilization activities aimed at strengthening support for the proposed Tinubu/Dikko 2027 political campaign across the state.

During the visit, the governor was expected to pay a courtesy call to the District Head of Faskari, Alhaji Tukur Usman Sa’idu, the Sarkin Yamman Katsina, alongside other traditional rulers in the area.

At the palace, Governor Radda said his administration had strengthened security in Faskari through the establishment of security outposts in vulnerable communities and support for local security groups and victims of insecurity.

He also highlighted interventions in infrastructure, healthcare, water supply, and community development, noting that traditional institutions had received government support through vehicles, allowances, and other assistance.

The governor further explained that the state’s Community Development Programme (CDP) allows communities to identify and prioritize their development needs through consultations involving traditional rulers, local chiefs, and religious leaders.

Governor Radda solicited the continued prayers and support of traditional rulers and political stakeholders for President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates contesting the 2027 elections at the senatorial, federal constituency, and state assembly levels.

Responding, the District Head of Faskari, Alhaji Tukur Sa’idu, commended the governor for his administration’s interventions in the area, particularly in security and infrastructure.

He disclosed that about 80 percent of the requests previously submitted to the state government had been addressed. He also acknowledged the completion of Faskari General Hospital, rehabilitation of water facilities and improved water supply, as well as road projects, including the Sheme–Zamfara border road.

However, the traditional ruler appealed to the state government to construct the Faskari–Yankara–Dan Marke–Dogon Awo–Bilbis road and establish a tertiary institution in the area. He also called for sustained support for community-based security groups, including the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).

The visit was attended by Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, Minister of Housing and Urban Development Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, former Secretary to the State Government Mustapha Inuwa, APC State Chairman Bishir Gambo Saulawa, other government officials, traditional rulers, and party stakeholders.

The Faskari engagement is part of the APC’s wider mobilization activities ahead of the 2027 general elections. Governor Radda was appointed chairman of the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, which is coordinating the party’s campaign activities across Katsina State’s 34 local government areas and 361 wards.
