Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed deep sadness over the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) ATR-42 aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State.

Governor Radda described the incident as a painful loss to the nation, noting that the personnel died while serving the country on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos.
He supported President Bola Tinubu’s directive for a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash to prevent a recurrence and assured the Armed Forces of the continued support of the Katsina State Government.
Governor Radda also condoled President Tinubu, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the people of Ondo State, as well as the families of those who died in the crash.
The NAF later confirmed that 25 people, 20 passengers and five crew members, were on board the aircraft and that there were no survivors.
