A fire outbreak at the Technology Incubation Centre near the Police Headquarters in Gombe State, on Friday, destroyed property estimated at N4 million across five shops.

The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Gombe State Command, said its quick intervention prevented the fire from spreading and helped save property worth about N15 million.
The command said it received a distress call at 10:14 a.m. and immediately deployed a multipurpose water tender to the scene.
Firefighters, led by ASF II Mukhtar Shehu, extinguished the blaze using one medium jet of water. Four of the five affected shops were saved.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, ASF MB Muazu, said firefighters conducted an inspection after putting out the fire and found no immediate risk of re-ignition.
The crew returned to the station at about 11:09 a.m. after confirming that the fire had been completely extinguished.
The FFS urged residents to report fire incidents promptly and observe basic safety measures to prevent avoidable losses.
