Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit of Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen after manager Mikel Arteta reportedly identified the Nigerian international as a top transfer target.

According to Foot Mercato, Arsenal are confident they can reach an agreement for the 27-year-old after Arteta urged the club’s hierarchy to sign him.
Reports indicate that Arsenal have opened discussions with Galatasaray over a potential deal for Osimhen. However, the move could prove difficult, with the Turkish club having already rejected approaches for the striker and demanding a substantial fee.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli in 2025 and remains under contract with the Turkish champions until 2029.
Arsenal’s interest comes as Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.
