National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side Boston Legacy FC have officially unveiled Super Falcons striker Gift Monday following her move from Washington Spirit.
The 24-year-old Nigerian has been handed the number 22 jersey and joins the Boston-based club on a five-year contract.
Boston Legacy announced the acquisition on October 8, 2026, in a deal that saw Washington Spirit receive $500,000 in transfer funds and a 20 per cent sell-on clause.
Monday joined Washington Spirit from Spanish side UD Tenerife in March 2025, scoring 12 goals and providing three assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.
She made NWSL history in September 2025 when she scored a hat-trick in 35 minutes and 52 seconds against Houston Dash, setting the league record for the fastest hat-trick from kickoff.
Before moving to Spain, the forward featured for Nigerian clubs COD United Amazons, FC Robo and Bayelsa Queens. She made her senior debut for the Super Falcons in 2019 and was part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
