British heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has announced he will face Poland’s Mariusz Wach in a 12-round charity fight in Pattaya, Thailand, on July 24.
The 37-year-old former world champion shared the news on social media, confirming the bout will take place at Max Muay Thai Stadium and will be recorded for a Netflix series.
Fury, who has been out of action since back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, is using the fight as part of his comeback after briefly retiring. The match against 46-year-old Wach is widely viewed as a warm-up ahead of a potential blockbuster clash with fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua later this year.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to support starving and homeless children in Thailand.
Fury, known for his 6ft 9in frame and agility, rose to global prominence after defeating Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 to claim the heavyweight title.
