Former Nigerian international Greg Etafia has been appointed goalkeeper coach of Tanzanian club Young Africans S.C.

Etafia will be part of a new technical crew led by head coach Manqoba Mngqithi as the club strengthens its backroom staff ahead of the new season.
The 43-year-old began his coaching career at Moroka Swallows in 2015 and briefly served as caretaker manager in 2016. He later moved to Cape Town All Stars, where he again stepped in as interim coach, helping the team avoid relegation and reach the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup.
Etafia has also held goalkeeping roles at Baroka FC and TS Galaxy.
As a player, Etafia featured for Lobi Stars F.C. and Plateau United F.C. before moving to South Africa in 2003, where he spent over a decade with Moroka Swallows.
He was also part of Nigeria’s U-23 squad at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
