Falcons, Ghana Set for Pre-WAFCON Friendly in Casablanca

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face Ghana’s Black Queens in an international friendly on Saturday as both teams intensify preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The match will be played at the Stade El Arbi Zaouli in Casablanca, where Nigeria opened its training camp earlier this week.

The Super Falcons, 10-time African champions, began final preparations on Monday ahead of their Group C opener against Malawi later this month.

Ten players have already arrived at the team’s base in Casablanca, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and forward Asisat Oshoala.

The team is expected to hold its first training session at the match venue as more players join camp in the coming days.

Saturday’s fixture is part of a broader build-up for both West African rivals ahead of the continental tournament in Morocco.
