Falconets Hold China to Goalless Draw

Nigeria’s Falconets played out a goalless draw with China in their second Group F match at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland on Thursday.

The result earned Nigeria their first point of the tournament after a 2-0 defeat to Spain in their opening match.

China, who thrashed New Caledonia 5-0 in their first game, started strongly but were unable to break down a disciplined Nigerian defence.

Nigeria also created chances but could not find the decisive goal as both teams settled for a 0-0 draw.

The Falconets will face New Caledonia in their final group match on Sunday, with a win crucial to their chances of reaching the knockout stage.

The top two teams in each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the Round of 16.
