Actor-turned-politician Desmond Elliot has been spotted back on a movie set following his recent defeat in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Surulere Constituency I in Lagos.

Photos circulating on social media show the three-term Lagos State lawmaker alongside fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta during a film production, sparking reactions from fans who expressed excitement over his apparent return to Nollywood.
Elliot, a former Nollywood star, lost the APC ticket to Barakat Odunuga-Bakare in a landslide primary election. Odunuga-Bakare secured 11,385 votes, while Elliot polled 270 votes in the contest.
The primary, held ahead of the 2027 general elections, was marked by controversy, with Elliot alleging irregularities and vowing to challenge the outcome.
While it remains unclear whether his appearance on set signals a full return to acting, the development has fueled speculation about a possible shift back to his Nollywood roots after years in active politics.
