Eid 2026: Tinubu in Lagos, Atiku in Abuja for Prayers

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday participated in Eid prayers alongside Muslim faithful at Dodan Barracks in Lagos State.

He was accompanied by several top government officials and political figures, including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa, and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, among others.

The development was disclosed by the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, via a post on X.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also joined Muslim worshippers at the AYA Mosque in Abuja to mark the Eid celebration.

In a message shared on his social media platform, Atiku said the prayers were offered in appreciation to Allah for His blessings and called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, and compassion.

He further extended his greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and beyond, expressing hope for continued peace and national prosperity.
