Egypt has moved ahead of Nigeria in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings, climbing to third place in Africa.
The Pharaohs’ rise follows strong performances in recent international fixtures, which lifted them to 24th globally. Nigeria’s Super Eagles, despite maintaining their 26th position in the world, have dropped to fourth on the continent.
Before this shift, Nigeria ranked as Africa’s third-best team, behind Morocco and Senegal, who retain the top two spots.
Algeria completes the top five teams in Africa, holding fifth position in the latest rankings.
