D’Banj Surprises Olajengbesi With Three Campaign Buses

Afrobeats star Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna buses to Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Accord Party candidate for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in Osun State, ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.

The singer presented the fully branded vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Thursday.

Olajengbesi disclosed the gesture in a Facebook post on Friday, describing it as a surprise from the music star.

According to him, D’Banj had contacted him about two weeks earlier to request the details of his campaign branding contact. Olajengbesi said he assumed the request was for D’Banj’s CREAM project, which supports young creatives, and shared the contact.

He said he was later surprised when three fully branded Sienna buses were delivered to him.

“It’s my token of support,” Olajengbesi quoted D’Banj as saying when he contacted the singer.

Olajengbesi thanked the singer for the gesture, describing it as a major show of support for his political ambition.

The donation comes amid a series of public endorsements for his 2027 bid. Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has also expressed support for his ambition.

Olajengbesi, 40, previously contested the Oriade/Obokun seat in 2019. He also served as spokesperson for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign in the August 2026 Osun governorship election and is the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilization Network.

In May 2026, he secured the Accord Party ticket to contest the federal constituency in the 2027 election.
