Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has taken a swipe at Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, following his rejection of a ban on the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Osun State.

Governor Ademola Adeleke recently ordered the suspension of NURTW activities across the state ahead of the August 15, 2026, governorship election. The move, according to the state government, is aimed at restoring order in motor parks and curbing the collection of illegal levies.
However, MC Oluomo, who is the national president of the union, dismissed the directive, arguing that the governor lacks the authority to halt NURTW operations.
Reacting on social media platform X, Davido mocked the union leader’s stance, posting a comment that drew widespread reactions online.
In a follow-up post on his Instagram story on Monday, the singer also questioned MC Oluomo’s alleged involvement in political thuggery in Osun State, tagging him directly and casting doubt on the claims.
The exchange has sparked mixed reactions, with some social media users criticizing Davido, while others defended his comments.
Davido, who is the nephew of Governor Adeleke, was appointed in April as the youth campaign leader for the governor’s re-election bid.
