Real Madrid have completed the signing of Spanish full-back Marc Cucurella from Chelsea in a deal valued at approximately €55 million.

In an official statement released on Monday, the Spanish giants confirmed that the 27-year-old defender has committed to a six-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 2032.
“Real Madrid C.F. and Chelsea FC have finalised an agreement for the transfer of Marc Cucurella. The player will be tied to our club for the next six seasons,” the statement read.
Cucurella joined Chelsea in 2022 from Brighton & Hove Albion after previously developing through the academy of FC Barcelona and gaining top-flight experience at Getafe CF.
Currently representing Spain national football team at the World Cup, Cucurella becomes the only Real Madrid player included in coach Luis de la Fuente’s squad.
Club president Florentino Perez, recently re-elected, continues to oversee a squad rebuild following two trophyless campaigns. New head coach Jose Mourinho is expected to integrate Cucurella into the defensive setup.
The move adds to Madrid’s ongoing transfer activity, with further reinforcements reportedly under consideration.
