Sporting Lagos head coach Jeffrey Buter will appear before the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) panel on Wednesday over allegations concerning match officiating.

The league summoned Buter to provide evidence for his claim that the NPFL management and Nigeria Referees Association colluded to influence the outcome of Sporting Lagos’ goalless draw against Ikorodu City on September 30.
The coach made the allegations after the Lagos derby at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, with his comments later circulated on social media.
Buter has been directed to appear at the NPFL meeting room with evidence supporting his claims. Failure to substantiate the allegations could lead to disciplinary action.
The summons follows an earlier warning from the league body against coaches and club officials making public statements that could undermine the credibility of match officials or damage the image of the league.
