Nigerian singer Olawale Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo, has opened up about his past relationships, admitting he was involved with several married women early in his music career.

Speaking on a recent episode of the NotJustOk podcast on YouTube, Brymo said his rising fame at the time attracted older women, some of whom claimed to be separated from their husbands. He noted that the experiences shaped his outlook and now serve as a warning to younger artists.
“I met quite a number of older women who were truly married… stop sleeping with people’s wives,” he said, cautioning that such relationships could have serious consequences.
Brymo also recounted an incident involving a married woman who invited him to perform at a family event, only to later inform him that her husband would be present. He said the situation made him uncomfortable and led him to withdraw from the engagement.
Reflecting further, the singer alleged that in 2019, during a meeting in Lekki Phase 1, music star 2Baba directly asked his wife, Annie Idibia, whether she had ever been involved with him. Brymo said the moment left a lasting impression on him.
The singer’s remarks have since sparked reactions online, with fans and observers debating his claims and the personal nature of the revelations.
