Nigerian businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has advised young people to avoid rushing into marriage without adequate financial and emotional preparation.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Adult Gist podcast, Blord criticized the growing trend of youths entering marriage due to peer pressure and societal expectations, despite lacking stability.
He stressed that marriage should not be seen as a life achievement, urging individuals to take their time when choosing a partner.
“Don’t rush to marry. Take your time and make the right choice for a life partner,” he said, warning that hasty decisions often lead to regret and separation.
Blord also encouraged mutual respect in relationships, advising men and women to treat partners with the same care they would want for their future children.
He further noted that reversing a marriage can be difficult, particularly when children are involved, emphasizing the need for careful decision-making.
His comments add to ongoing conversations around shifting societal expectations and the importance of personal readiness before marriage.
