Nigerian social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reportedly lost her second son, Bryan, while in custody.
The development was announced on Friday by Amira Agiye, CEO of the Isaamira Love Foundation, who appealed for financial support to help secure Blessing CEO’s release.
In a statement shared online, Agiye said Blessing needs N20 million to meet her bail conditions and another N36 million to settle the complainants in a separate case.
Blessing CEO also confirmed the death in a voice recording played by Agiye, saying she lost Bryan while in custody and hoped to be released so she could pay her respects to her son.
Blessing CEO has been in custody following criminal proceedings brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In July, the Lagos State Special Offences Court granted her N20 million bail with two sureties in like sum in an alleged N69.15 million property fraud case. Each surety was required to provide proof of deposits or fixed deposits worth at least N20 million for three years.
She is also facing a separate N36 million alleged fraud case before the Federal High Court in Lagos. She has pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
As of Friday, Blessing CEO had reportedly not been able to meet the bail conditions.
