Bandits have abducted eight residents and rustled several livestock during an overnight attack on Saketa village in Dinawa Ward, Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the incident in a post on X on Sunday.
He said the attackers, armed with dangerous weapons, stormed the community around 1 a.m. and operated for several hours.
According to him, residents attempted to resist the attack but were overpowered by the bandits, who fled with eight people and several animals.
The incident adds to the security challenges facing communities in parts of Sokoto State, where bandit attacks and abductions have been reported in recent years.
