Alleged APC Primary Forgery: Court Orders Okorocha’s Arrest

A Senior Magistrate Court in Abuja has issued bench warrants for the arrest of former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, former senator Ifeanyi Araraume, and two others over alleged criminal conspiracy, forgery, and the use of false documents.

The warrants, dated September 9, 2026, also named Timothy Ama Chuks and Amen Okorocha. The four are accused of involvement in the alleged forgery and presentation of All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary results purportedly showing Okorocha as the winner.

The court authorized police officers nationwide to arrest the individuals and bring them before Senior Magistrate Court 3 in Jiwa, Abuja.

The development comes as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has asked the police and the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the disputed results.

In a letter dated October 8, INEC said the official APC results submitted to the commission identified Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as the winner of the May 18 primary for Imo West Senatorial District, also known as Orlu Zone.

The commission described the document allegedly being circulated in Okorocha’s name as fictitious and urged security agencies to investigate its origin and circulation.

The allegations against the four individuals remain subject to judicial determination.
