The family of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has announced that his burial will take place on June 18, 2026, in Abia State.
Ekubo passed away on May 11 after a battle with kidney cancer.
In an obituary statement shared on the family’s Instagram page, the public was urged to keep the actor’s wife and family in prayers during this period of mourning.
According to the funeral programme, a service of songs will be held on June 10, 2026, at The Monarch Event Center in Lekki, Lagos, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with attendees expected to wear white.
A wake is scheduled for June 17, 2026, at the family residence in Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
The funeral service will take place on June 18 at Mary Slessor School, followed by interment at the family residence in the same community.
A reception will be held immediately after the burial at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu, with guests also expected to wear white.
