Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the national leader of pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation Afenifere, has died at the age of 100.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa announced his death in a statement issued on Tuesday, describing the late elder statesman as a symbol of wisdom, integrity and selfless service.
Aiyedatiwa said Fasoranti devoted his life to the development of Ondo State, Yorubaland and Nigeria, adding that his contributions to justice and good governance would be greatly missed.
The governor also extended his condolences to the Fasoranti family, the people of Akure and residents of Ondo State, praying for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
