Adelabu Family Kidnap: Oyo Govt Brings Down Suspected Criminal Den

The Oyo State Government has pulled down a residential building in Ibadan believed to have been used by suspects connected to the abduction of relatives of Bayo Adelabu.

The structure, a three-bedroom bungalow located in the Lako area along the Aiyegun–Anaye corridor, was demolished by officials from the state’s Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, with support from security personnel.

Authorities said the action forms part of broader measures aimed at addressing kidnapping and related crimes across the state.

The victims, Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her twin sons were taken from the Challenge district of Ibadan earlier in June, sparking concern over safety in the area.

Government officials noted that the demolition reflects a firm stance against criminal operations, stressing that properties linked to unlawful activities would be identified and removed in line with existing laws.

They added that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal networks and improve security within communities.
