The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) has mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the alleged poor turnout at its Northwest zonal rally in Kaduna.

In a statement, ADC-PCC Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan, claimed the rally at Kaduna Township Stadium had several empty seats despite alleged efforts to mobilize supporters from across the Northwest and other parts of the country.
Ologbondiyan alleged that some attendees were paid between N50,000 and N100,000 to attend the event. However, the claims were not independently verified.
He also criticized the audience’s response to speeches by APC leaders, arguing that the turnout raised questions about the ruling party’s popularity in the region.
The ADC-PCC spokesperson further alleged that some attendees chanted “Ba ma yi” as they left the venue, which he interpreted as an expression of dissatisfaction with the APC.
He accused the ruling party of repeating campaign promises made in previous elections without adequately addressing the economic hardship Nigerians face.
The council also faulted President Bola Tinubu’s removal of the petrol subsidy, saying the policy had increased the financial burden on households.
It urged the APC to account for its performance in office and called on Nigerians to seek a change of leadership in the 2027 general election.
The allegations about paid attendees and the rally’s turnout could not be independently confirmed.
