Nollywood actress Atinuke Remilekun Kareem, popularly known as Atinuke Kareem, has died after a battle with breast cancer.

Her death was announced on Tuesday by Owolabi Ajasa, the Ogun State Executive Governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
In a statement shared on Instagram, Ajasa appreciated colleagues, fans, and well-wishers who contributed financially, offered prayers, and supported Kareem during her treatment.
“Sadly, despite all our efforts and prayers, Atinuke has passed on and answered the final call,” he said.
Kareem had appealed to the public for financial assistance about four months before her death, revealing that her family had spent heavily on her treatment. She also disclosed that she had two young children.
The actress was known for her appearances in Yoruba-language productions. Her death comes about a week after the passing of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, who also died following a battle with cancer.
