President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to perform the Umrah pilgrimage, also known as the lesser Hajj.

Tinubu landed at the King Abdulaziz International Airport on Thursday evening, October 29, where he was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Yakubu Gambo, and the Saudi Head of Royal Protocol, Ahmad bin Thafir.
The President travelled to Makkah to perform the Islamic religious rites and pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability and progress, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The Presidency said Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria next week after completing the spiritual exercise.
This marks his second Umrah pilgrimage since assuming office in May 2023. He first visited Makkah in November 2023, shortly after attending the Saudi-Africa Summit in Riyadh.
