Nigerians have called for an end to the long-running rivalry between Afrobeats stars Davido and Wizkid after a video showed Davido singing and dancing to Wizkid’s hit song, Ojuelegba, at Zlatan Ibile’s wedding in Lagos.
The video, which went viral on social media over the weekend, captured Davido enjoying the 2014 hit during the wedding celebration on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The moment sparked reactions on X, with fans urging both singers to put aside their differences and collaborate on new music.
Their rivalry, which has played out through public exchanges and comparisons by their supporters, has fuelled years of online arguments between Wizkid FC and Davido’s 30 Billion Gang (30BG).
While some users expressed hope that the singers would reconcile, others questioned whether the perceived feud was genuine or largely driven by their fan bases.
An X user, @Beejay_0822, wrote, “Make dem settle this beef abeg make dem give us better Gbedu abeg.”
Another user, @idarajune, said, “Really hope they resolve their issues and settle. The mutual admiration they had for each other was beautiful.”
Similarly, @ShegunChelsea urged both singers to unite, saying fans should be allowed to enjoy their music together before they retire.
However, @Amadi96123697 argued that fans were creating unnecessary tension, writing, “This men no really get issues na una wey be fans dey stress una selves.”
