2027: NDC Candidate Raises Alarm Over Ballot Exclusion

A Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Representatives candidate in Lagos State, Adefolaseye Adebayo, has alleged a plot to prevent the party from appearing on the ballot for the 2027 general elections.

Adebayo, who is contesting the Surulere I Federal Constituency seat and serves as South-West Coordinator of the OK Movement, made the allegation in a video posted on her official X account on Saturday.

She called on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take note of the alleged plan and ensure the party is not excluded from the ballot.

Adebayo also claimed that a similar incident occurred during the 2023 general elections, when the Labour Party allegedly did not appear on the ballot for the Surulere I House of Representatives election.

She alleged that the incident involved collusion by the party’s candidate at the time and warned against a recurrence in 2027.

The NDC candidate urged the party’s leadership and Nigerians to pay attention to the allegation.
