Haiti and Turkey have become the first teams to be eliminated from the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup after suffering back-to-back losses in their respective group stage matches.

Haiti’s exit was confirmed following a 3-0 defeat to Brazil in Philadelphia, leaving the Caribbean side without a point after two matches in Group C. The result ensured they could no longer qualify for the Round of 32. The team had earlier fallen 1-0 to Scotland in their opening fixture.
Turkey also bowed out of the competition after a narrow 1-0 loss to Paraguay. Having previously lost to Australia in their first match, the European side is now mathematically unable to progress beyond the group stage.
Despite their elimination, Turkey will still play their final group game against the United States, while Haiti’s campaign has already effectively ended.
