Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, has denied receiving $2.1 million over an alleged Abuja land transaction, telling an FCT High Court that his signature on a disputed document was forged.
Jordan, a lawyer, made the claim on Wednesday while being cross-examined in a suit filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited.
The suit, marked CV/008/2026, is before Justice Silvanus Oriji of the FCT High Court in Maitama, Abuja.
The claimants allege that Jordan agreed to facilitate the acquisition of 30 hectares each in Katampe and Guzape and demanded $2.1 million in connection with the transaction. They claim the money was paid in cash on September 26, 2025, in the presence of three witnesses, while Jordan was allegedly accompanied by a man identified as Onor Sandy.
Jordan, however, denied receiving the money or signing any agreement relating to the transaction.
“I did not receive any money from anybody. I did not sign any document for land deal,” he told the court, adding that the signature attributed to him on the disputed document was forged.
He also denied knowing Sandy, whom the claimants said accompanied him during the alleged payment.
Jordan further told the court that he was outside Nigeria on September 26, 2025, the date the claimants said the money was handed to him.
Following his testimony, the court had ordered him to produce the American passport he said he used for the trip. He produced the passport on Wednesday, after which a copy was retained on the court file while the original was returned to him, subject to production when required.
The claimants are seeking a refund of the alleged $2.1 million, interest, and N100 million in damages. Jordan has denied the allegations, and the claims remain before the court.
The court adjourned the case to December 1, 2 and 14, 2026, for continuation of trial.
