Cameroon, Morocco, and Algeria have secured places in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Cameroon became the first team to qualify after a 1–0 win over Ghana, taking them to six points from two matches in Group D. The victory guarantees the Indomitable Lionesses a top-two finish, regardless of their final group game.
Hosts Morocco also advanced after a goalless draw against Senegal in Rabat, finishing top of Group A with seven points from three matches.
Algeria joined them in the last eight following a 2–0 win over Kenya, sealing second place in Group A with six points.
The tournament, which began in late July, features 16 teams, with the top two from each group progressing to the knockout stage.
