Viral Scam Report: IK Ogbonna Says “Not Me”

Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna has dismissed reports linking him to an alleged $75,000 romance scam, describing the claims as false and malicious.

The allegation surfaced online on Friday, claiming the actor had been invited for questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in collaboration with the FBI, following a complaint by a 49-year-old American woman, Kimberly Ann. The report alleged she had been in an online relationship since 2025.

Reacting via his Instagram story, Ogbonna denied any involvement, stating that he does not engage in fraud or any form of online scam.

He also warned the public about imposters using his identity on fake social media accounts to deceive unsuspecting individuals.

“This report is completely false and without any factual basis. I have never authorized anyone to represent me online or solicit money on my behalf,” he said.

The actor urged fans and the public to remain vigilant and avoid interacting with accounts impersonating him.
