Gunmen have released a driver, the body of an elderly woman, and one abducted victim following a kidnapping incident along the Otukpo–Ogobia Road in Benue State, while holding two siblings and demanding ₦30 million ransom.

The victims were reportedly traveling from Abuja to Oklenyi in Okpokwu Local Government Area for a burial when their vehicle broke down, leaving them stranded. They were subsequently ambushed and kidnapped.
Family sources said the abductors later freed the driver, returned the deceased woman’s body, and released one of her children. The woman has since been buried in Okpoga.
However, two siblings remain in captivity. The kidnappers have contacted the family, demanding ₦30 million for their release.
Relatives are currently raising funds and appealing to security agencies for intervention. Authorities in Benue State have yet to issue an official statement.
