President Bola Tinubu has accused former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of mismanaging government investments during his time in office, stating that his administration is now addressing the consequences.
Tinubu made the remarks during a meeting with members of the Nigerian Diaspora Medical Association and Northeast political stakeholders, where discussions also included support for Vice President Kashim Shettima’s renomination.
The president alleged that Atiku oversaw the privatization of public assets without settling pension obligations, leaving financial gaps that the current administration is working to resolve.
Tinubu emphasized that his government is prioritizing economic stability and social welfare, noting that Nigerians expect improved living conditions and consistent policy direction. He also called for unity in addressing national challenges such as insecurity in the Northeast.
