The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has unveiled a new anti-corruption framework aimed at preventing corruption, fraud, and other unethical practices within the company.
The framework, launched on Tuesday at TCN headquarters in Abuja, comprises four policies covering anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering and fraud, conflict of interest, and whistleblowing.
TCN Managing Director, Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, represented by the Executive Director, Human Resources and Corporate Services, Abiodun Afolabi-Fadahunsi, said the initiative reaffirmed the company’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Abdulaziz said the fight against corruption required the commitment of both management and staff, stressing that ethical conduct must become part of TCN’s corporate culture.
The four policies have been compiled into a single booklet by TCN’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU).
The TCN boss urged employees to familiarize themselves with the policies and apply their provisions in their daily decisions and conduct.
ACTU Chairman Benibo Erakevwe said the policies provide a structured framework for preventing, identifying, reporting, and responding to corrupt and unethical practices.
She stressed that the effectiveness of the framework would depend on its implementation, urging staff to reject bribery, fraud, favoritism, abuse of office, and other forms of misconduct.
