Super Falcons forward Joy Omewa has joined Swedish champions BK Häcken on a three-year deal, completing the move as a free agent.

The 23-year-old striker leaves English side Nottingham Forest after ending her contract and becomes the second Nigerian at Häcken, linking up with midfielder Halimat Ayinde.
Omewa arrives in Sweden on the back of an impressive season with Danish club Fortuna Hjørring, where she scored 22 goals in 24 league appearances and helped the team secure a domestic double.
Her strong form has also earned her a place in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
BK Häcken are expected to benefit from her attacking strength as they prepare for both domestic and European competitions.
