The Super Eagles have arrived in Bissau ahead of Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.
Eric Chelle’s side departed Uyo on Sunday, two days after opening their Group L campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
Nigeria fell behind to Ehsan Kari’s 16th-minute goal before debutant George Ilenikhena equalised in first-half stoppage time. Moses Usor then scored the winner in the 65th minute.
Guinea-Bissau also recorded a winning start, defeating co-hosts Tanzania 2-0 away from home. The result put the Djurtus top of Group L on goal difference, ahead of Nigeria.
The Eagles held a closed training session in Uyo on Sunday morning before travelling to Bissau. Chelle is expected to oversee another training session on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s match at the Estádio 24 de Setembro.
The Group L encounter is scheduled for 4pm GMT (5pm Nigerian time).
