Nigerian singer Wande Coal has responded sharply to Davido over the latter’s comments about an unreleased verse on his hit song, Come My Way.

Wande Coal, whose real name is Oluwatobi Ojosipe, addressed the issue in a post on his official X account, insisting that the song already had a release plan before any outside input.
Reacting to Davido’s remarks, the singer accused him of attempting to dictate how the record should be released.
“Song wey been get release plan and date!!! Song wey no be your own you wan dictate release plan,” Wande Coal wrote.
He added that Come My Way performed well despite Davido’s verse not being included in the officially released version.
The original Come My Way was released by Wande Coal in October 2021 through Starstruck Management and EMPIRE. The song later featured on his 2023 album, Legend Or No Legend.
Wande Coal previously explained that the song was deliberately created around an Amapiano-inspired sound, describing it as a special record that reflected his personal journey at the time.
