The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the release on bail of the State Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Moyowa Adejoorin, following his arrest over a shooting incident at an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Ilesa.

Adejoorin was detained on Saturday after gunfire disrupted the rally, leaving four people injured, including a teenager identified as Tobi Ilesanmi.
Police spokesperson DSP Abiodun Ojelabi said officers responded swiftly to the incident, cordoned off the area, and recovered evidence, including expended cartridges and caps belonging to Amotekun personnel.
According to Ojelabi, the commissioner was arrested at the scene alongside an Amotekun operative allegedly linked to the shooting and was taken in for questioning as part of ongoing investigations.
A video circulating on social media on Sunday showed Adejoorin leaving the police command, sparking speculation about his release.
Confirming the development, Ojelabi said the commissioner had been granted bail but declined to provide details on the status of the Amotekun personnel arrested with him.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
