The Osun State Police Command has released the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Teslim Igbalaye, following his arrest over alleged vote-buying activities.

Igbalaye was earlier detained alongside five others after police reportedly recovered Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), cash, and a voters’ register from his residence.
The other suspects were identified as Abiodun Arowomole, also known as “Ashipa,” who is said to be on the police watch list, as well as Taiwo Akande, Lukman Adeyemo, Muftau Olaoye, and Musiliu Aderemi.
Police spokesperson DSP Abiodun Ojelabi confirmed the SSG’s release on Tuesday, stating that investigations into the case are still ongoing.
“The SSG has been released this afternoon, and the investigation is ongoing,” he said.
