The Osun State Police Command has declared Nurudeen Alowonle and Adeyemi Ojo, popularly known as Sibi, wanted over the killing of Olalekan Oyeyemi Ajagungbade, also known as Emir, in Ile-Ife.

The police also announced the arrest of six suspects in connection with the murder, which occurred on September 13, 2026, at Mayfair Garage in Ile-Ife.
Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Zungura disclosed the development on Monday during a press briefing at the command headquarters in Osogbo.
The arrested suspects were identified as Tijani Ismail, Akinsola Ekundayo, Sijuade Moruf Oyinlola, Ayeni Adegbola Olalekan, Hammed Olalekan Dauda, also known as Jagaban, and Waliu Adejare, popularly known as Jay Jay.
Zungura said investigations by the command’s homicide section, with support from the Osun State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun, led to the arrests.
He added that a locally made, cut-to-size firearm was recovered from Dauda, who allegedly told investigators that Alowonle gave him the weapon.
The police commissioner alleged that Alowonle and Sibi mobilised the suspects for the operation, adding that efforts were ongoing to arrest the two wanted men and other suspects still at large.
The investigation follows the fatal shooting of Emir amid a reported dispute over control of motor parks in Ile-Ife.
