The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a 35-year-old man, Adebayo Joshua, for allegedly vandalizing critical infrastructure at the Kogi State Project Cashew Aggregation Centre in Isanlu, Yagba East Local Government Area.

The NSCDC Public Relations Officer in Kogi, SC Aliyu Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, personnel from the Isanlu Division, working with local vigilantes, caught Joshua allegedly vandalizing the facility. Peeled electrical cables and an electrical control board were recovered.

The Corps said the suspect made a confessional statement during preliminary investigation and is assisting with further inquiries ahead of possible prosecution.

The Kogi State Commandant, CC Aletan Olumide Ebenezer, commended the personnel and vigilantes for their prompt intervention and urged residents to provide credible information on suspicious activities.
