The Rivers State House of Assembly has stopped the impeachment process against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
The decision was taken on Thursday when the Assembly resumed sitting in Port Harcourt.
Lawmakers agreed to suspend the impeachment proceedings following the intervention of President Bola Tinubu, bringing a temporary pause to the political tension in the state.
