General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has called for peace, security, and progress in Nigeria as the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) begins in Ota, Ogun State.

Kumuyi made the call on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the Olota of Ota, Oba Prof. Adeyemi Obalanlege, ahead of the five-day crusade scheduled for August 26 to 30.
The crusade, themed “Total Transformation Through Christ,” will hold at the Anglican Church Grammar School, Abebi, Ota, with daily sessions beginning at 5 p.m.
Speaking on Nigeria’s security challenges, Kumuyi said peace and security remained the desire of citizens, adding that prayers would continue for divine intervention.
“Our desire for our country is peace, security, and progress,” he said, expressing confidence that God would provide the security needed in the country.
On the choice of Ogun State, the cleric said he believed the time was right for the state, declaring, “This is Ogun State’s time.” He said the crusade was expected to bring spiritual transformation, salvation, healing, and solutions to the challenges facing individuals and families.
The GCK has been held in several Nigerian states and countries across Africa and Asia. Organizers said the Ogun edition is being supported by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Ogun West.
As part of the outreach, free medical and humanitarian services are also being provided. Organizers said the program includes medical consultations and surgical procedures, including general, gynecological, and eye surgeries.
The Olota of Ota, Oba Obalanlege, welcomed Kumuyi and expressed optimism that the crusade would transform lives and contribute to peace and development in the community.
“I believe a lot of lives will be transformed,” the monarch said.
